✨Splat Lab is Magic✨
Splat Lab was created in 2018 as an extension of our popular Anthropology Arts after-school curriculum. After 10 years of experience as an after-school director, our founder knew what worked in the after-school environment and what kids needed most: fun and play.
Splat Lab was designed with activities that build community, incorporate the Montessori concept of “freedom within limits,” and embed CASEL-aligned SEL routines in every class. Kids love Splat Lab because it’s truly designed for them to have the best day of their lives: with lots of choices, bright colors, freedom to move between stations, and plenty of chances to make new friends.
While thriving in after-school PTA, charter, and DYCD-funded programs, Splat Lab also began to gain traction in DOE schools. We quickly became a popular choice for residencies, pop-ups, and Summer Rising programs. Principals rely on us for incentive parties, family nights, and other activities where joy and community take center stage. Our sensory-rich classes and Universal Design for Learning approach have also made us a strong partner for schools serving neurodivergent students and English language learners.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to one of our most important core values: Dream Big. Our vision includes developing more products like our Monster Slime Kits, expanding camps, and eventually opening a Splat HQ, a place where anyone in NYC can come and experience Splat Magic.
